Most items ship from our warehouse in Milwaukee, WI, but if you are ordering a heavy or oversized item, we often have the manufacturer ship it directly to you to reduce shipping costs and save you money. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on shipment weight and destination. Eartheasy can ship to residential and commercial addresses in all 50 US States, but unfortunately oversized products do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. If you are in Alaska or Hawaii and have your heart set on an oversized item, give us a call and we’ll try our best to help you with a freight quote. Unfortunately we do not ship to U.S. Territories or U.S. military installations at this time, but we are working on making these options available soon.
Canada:
Please check product pages to see whether your product is eligible for shipping to Canada, as unfortunately there are some products we cannot ship across the border. Canadian orders ship weekly on Thursdays via Purolator International and shipping costs include duties and taxes. Unfortunately, expedited shipping to Canada is not available at this time.
International:
Unfortunately we cannot ship internationally, including Mexico or freight forwarders. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Processing Time & Shipping Charges:
The "Lead Time" on a product specifies the number of business days for your item to be prepared by our warehouse. The Lead Time does not include the date the order is placed. This also applies for all shipping methods, including express methods. If your item is shipping freight, you will receive a call to schedule the delivery with your driver. If your shopping cart has multiple items, a shipping charge may apply even if some items are listed as "Free Shipping", as charges apply to items rather than total cart quantities.
Black Berkey elements fit into the Big Berkey, Travel Berkey and Berkey Light water filter systems. Each element has a 3000 gallon lifetime.
Please note that unfortunately at this time this unit is not available in California or Iowa.
Overview
There’s no need for expensive disposable filters that need replacement every couple months – Black Berkey elements are re-cleanable during their 3000 gallon lifetime. When the flow rate decreases, simply brush the Black Berkey elements with a scrub pad under running water, reinstall, and your system is ready again to purify water.
Black Berkey purification elements remove or reduce the following:
- Elements are the leader in gravity-fed water Filtration, backed byindependent testing
- Elements mechanically extract waterborne pathogens while dramatically reducing protozoa, trihalomethanes, inorganic minerals, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, VOCs, petroleum products, perfluorinated chemicals, rust, silt, sediment and even radiologicals
- Elements have been tested by accredited third-party labs that have reported that the elements exceed EPA and ANSI/NSF (Std. 53) protocol, and address over 200+ typical contaminants found in tap water and other freshwater sources
- Includes: Two 9" Black Berkey®Elements with 2 washers, 2 wing nuts, and 1 priming button
- Installs in the upper chamber of any Berkey system. Elements can also be used to upgrade most other gravity-fed water filter systems
- Sold as a set of 2 elements
- We recommend replacing Black Berkey® Elements every3,000 gallons (6,000 per set of 2 elements). Elements may require replacement sooner based upon the quality of influent water.
